Young and the Rest of Us Celebrate 17 years

The Young and the Rest of Us Family Group celebrated 17 years of existence recently with a celebratory early evening dinner in the Church Lounge.   Organised by Graham and Nancy Cochrane, the first convenors of the group, the evening also featured dance and charades by the current "young" members of the group and a powerpoint display chronicling the years.

Graham reminded the group that given an average of 10 events a year we had met around 170 times.  During that time camera technology had gone from wet film instamatics to digital cell phones.  Unfortunately hard copy photo albums which used to be handed on to incoming convenors had gone missing.  Despite this, Graham had assembled a good number of photos that showed the wide variety of events and people involved.
