Rose Window Installed

The historic rose window from the old Methodist Church on the Main Road has been installed in the Terrace Centre after 40 years in storage. Entrusted to the care of the Onslow Historical Society after demolition of the old church, the window was given back to the Johnsonville Uniting Church 15 years ago. Recently it was taken out of storage, refurbished and has now been installed behind the sanctuary.

Many rose windows have 12 petals representing the 12 disciples of Christ. Our window has 16 petals - the four centre petals form the pattern of a cross.
