Labyrinth Launched in Style!!

JUC's labyrinth was launched in bright sunshine and a crowd of about 80 people on Saturday 18 October.

Deputy Mayor, Justin Lester did the honours and cut the bright green ribbon to declare then Labyrinth open.  The local Member of Parliament, Hon Peter Dunne was in attendance and the local Parish Priest from St Peter and Paul's, Father Peter provided the blessing.

Justin congratulated Johnsonville Uniting and its project committee for bringing the concept to life and making it available to the wider community.  He said it was in keeping with the history of JUC whereby the Terrace Centre had been a focal point for many community activities since 1977.

Rev Anna Gilkison thanked members of the committee and many supporters for their donations of time, effort and resources to establish the Labyrinth.   She said she personally found Labyrinths an opportunity to contemplate and to de-stress.

The opening event included activities for children and several stalls which helped raise around $500 towards church fundraising
