Terrace Centre equipped with defibrillator

Johnsonville Uniting Church has purchased a defibrillator for its complex. This action has been prompted by the large numbers of people using the facilities on a weekly basis. The purchase of the defibrillator was made through the Wellington Free Ambulance who provided two evenings of training on CPR and the use of the defibrillator.

A heightened awareness of early intervention in coronary care shows that having defibrillators available in public places can make a difference in the recovery of persons who experience a coronary incident.

Users of the building will be encouraged to attend future training evenings.
