After a year's search the Parish Council of Johnsonville Uniting is pleased to advise that the Rev Anna Gilkison of Wellington will undertake a year's supply Ministry in the parish starting on 1 February 2008.  
 
Anna will serve on a 75%-of-full-time basis, at least initially.  If during the year both Anna and the congregation feel they are ready to move to full stationing for a longer term period then approval of the Methodist Church will be sought under the continuous stationing provisions.
 
The leadership of JUC are delighted that the Rev Gilkison has made herself available for this ministry.  She commenced part time duties in the parish in December 2007 and so is fully geared to step up her duties.   Under an agreement with the parish Anna will lead two 10am Sunday services a month or three where there are five Sundays in a month.  This will enable her to concentrate more fully on pastoral visiting and provide some time flexibility to meet priorities as they evolve.
