It was a colourful event on a bright sunny but breezy day.  Around 200 attended.

The service began with a Powhiri which included the St Brigid's School kapa haka group.  This was followed by an hour long service with the story of the establishment of Christianity being told through a series of four re-enactments. In addition to contributions by the Revs Maurice Dagger, Anna Gilkison and Father Peter Fitzgibbon elements of the service were conducted by Challenge 2000.

Thanks were extended to everyone who helped maie the festivities a success - Angela Pyke, St Brigid's School, the Maori Wardens, Te Kakano o Te Aroha, Nga Hau e Wha o Paparangi and Challenge 2000.
