OVER 100 YEARS OF PASTORAL WORK CELEBRATED

A combined total of over 100 years dedicated pastoral service to the Johnsonville Uniting Parish and its predecessors was noted recently with the retirement of Helen Hay and Robin Seymour from the Pastoral Committee.

In presenting the two long serving members of the pastoral committee with bunches of flowers to mark the occasion, the Chair of the Pastoral Committee, Judith Dunlop, thanked Helen and Robin for their selfless service.

"We bless you for litres of tea and coffee poured and dishes washed.  We bless you for kilos of baking done, for the thousands of words and the kilometres travelled when visiting people.

"We are so blessed with the simple things that we often forget the privilege of having them," said Judith.

While Helen and Robin have retired from the pastoral committee they remain committed, active and well loved members of the parish.

Helen and Robin have been and continue to be role models of what it means to be true servants of Jesus Christ.
